The basic arbor in the photo at the left is a beautiful archway along a garden path.  If you add a bench, the arbor becomes a destination in your garden. Or add a gate and fence and the arbor helps define your garden. (Click on the small photos for a larger view.)

CONSTRUCTION: The Weekend Arbor is 86-1/4" high x 64-1/2" wide x 31" deep. We built it out of standard, dimensional western red cedar lumber, so there's no ripping involved. The suggested tools include only a circular saw, a jigsaw, and a router. Plus, the plan shows you how to anchor the arbor to concrete pads.
